Ghost Hunters Fans.com has learned from an article with the Examiner that, quote…
“Amy Bruni, a paranormal investigator on SyFy’s paranormal reality show “Ghost Hunters” walked off the investigation during the Sept. 5 episode because she was afraid of a spirit attaching itself to her unborn child.
Amy announced her pregnancy last May, leaving fans to wonder how this would affect her role on “Ghost Hunters”. According to her statements on air, Bruni put a lot of thought into whether she would continue to investigate during her pregnancy, as many paranormal investigators believe that an unborn child is at risk of spirit attachment and other paranormal activity.
When Hagar, a camerawoman who typically follows Amy Bruni and Adam Berry during an investigation, received scratches from an unseen force, Amy decided it was time for her to take a break and leave the area.
Amy is expected to continue her role as a paranormal investigator until her baby is born and intends to resume her career when baby and mom are ready.
Until then, Amy says she tells the spirits that they do not have permission to touch her”
