LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Doors closing on their own, creeks and rumbles in the middle of the night–they are regular happenings in one Little Rock haunted home. Wednesday, the popular Syfy show ‘Ghost Hunters
‘ will explore who or what is causing the strange happenings.
“I guess about 125 years worth of families,” suggested Amber Jones.
History can be found throughout her home built in 1892, but over the last few years, something more has begun to appear.
“We had a table, a small end table, that had started knocking against the wall periodically,” Jones recalled.
After several odd incidents, her curiosity drove her to enlist the help of a ghost hunter, learning to take EVP recordings herself.
“I just hit the record button, and knowing I wasn’t going to get anything and knowing that I’m not a ghost hunter person, that this wasn’t going to work. When I hit the playback button, it sounded like there was a party going on in my dining room that I was not previewed to,” said Jones.
Before long, Jones’ home landed a chapter in the book Haunted Little Rock, and in January, it became the set for an episode of Syfy’s show Ghost Hunters.
“It was just a really incredible opportunity and really unique experience, and our whole family was interviewed and participated, and I don’t know what’s in the show,” said Jones.
Despite the series of mysterious events, Jones feels that whoever is causing them is more than welcome to stay.
“There are so many wonderful families that lived here, and if they want to come visit or drop by and let their presence be known, they are more than welcome to do so,” said Jones.
Jones also owns the home next door and uses it as a rental home. She believes the previous owners–some of her dearest friends and neighbors–may be two of the guests dropping by for a visit.
You can watch the Ghost Hunters episode that features Jones’ home titled ‘Ghost Friends Forever’ Wednesday at 8 p.m. on the Syfy channel.
